Andris Jansons
Internationally renowned, Andris Jansons was born in Latvia
in 1939, coming to Australia at the age of ten. He studied
architecture and worked as a draftsman for some time, becoming
familiar with the concepts of design and perspective and of
the principals of the projection of light and shadow involved.
Although he is largely self taught, Andris has welcomed advice
from more experienced artists including Sir Ivor Hele and
Rubery Bennett. He has held exhibitions in most Australian
states as well as in the United States.
